The James P Grant School of Public Health delivered two oral presentations and one poster presentation at the 12th International Congress on AIDS in Asia Pacific (ICAAP12) held from 12-14 March 2016. Among these two presentations, one was on the “Well-being of children infected & affected by HIV/AIDS in Bangladesh” which discussed different well-being indicators of children infected and affected by HIV/AIDS (CABA) and assessed HIV-sensitive protection services on the well-being of CABA.
Another oral presentation was on “HIV-sensitive protection services for children affected by HIV/AIDS in Bangladesh: a qualitative study”, which tried to understand the perspective of CABA and their caregiver on the effectiveness of HIV-sensitive protection services.
The poster presented was on “HIV-sensitive protection services for children affected by HIV/AIDS in Bangladesh: challenges and opportunities”. It described the different challenges the service providers facein providing services to CABA and the scopes of these services.
