Dr. Hilary Standing of the Institute of Development Studies, University of Sussex UK, presented a seminar session titled "Gender and Health Equity - international challenges" on March 22, 2007 at Residential Campus, Savar, MPH Class Room. During the session, she examined the ways in which gender is implicated in the production of inequities in health. These ways include inequities in access to health resources and in utilisation of services. She also talked about some of the conceptual underpinnings of these inequities and some of the structural issues within health systems, which lead to different gender outcomes.
