Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE), Software engineering and Cloud computing Research Group, and Computer Club at BRACU organized a workshop on Cloud Computing and Distributed Storage Platforms: Scopes, Use Cases and Opportunities. The workshop was held in the Research Lab (UB71201) on 12 November 2018, Monday at 15:00 pm. The workshop started with an introduction from the Professor Dr. Md. Mottalib, Chairperson, CSE. Chairperson also introduced the facilitators Mr. Rifat Rahman, Infrastructure Architect, Red Hat Certified Architect (RHCA), CEO, Tirzok Private Ltd. and Mr. Hasan Ibne Akbar, Software Architect, CSA, Tirzok Private Ltd. Recently, Tirzok Private Limited is highly specialized in architecture design, deployment and automation of Private Cloud Solutions based on OpenStack. They offer multi-region, highly available, fault tolerant and load balanced design of the cloud infrastructure. Mr. Rifat and Mr. Hasan, has given their valuable speech on current and future research trends on Cloud Computing area. This workshop was a good blend on academic and industry experience. Focus of this workshop was to spread the general understanding of Cloud Computing and Data Virtualization concepts which are very important for BRACU students as well as all the faculty members. Chairperson, Prof. Mottalib and Dr. Motaharul Islam, Associate Professor, CSE express thanks to the facilitator, faculty members, and students for their presence.
