The department of English and Humanities tries to organize at least one special lecture every month as a part of the monthly seminar series. Two lectures were given during the month of June.
On Thursday, June 12, Thomas J. Newbold gave a lecture on "Credit Networks, Colonial Coercion & the Bengal Indigo Trade". Thomas Newbold graduated in 2011 from King’s College London in History and subsequently obtained a Master of Arts in World History from the same institution in 2012. He is currently a visiting lecturer of History at ENH. The program took place in the ENH seminar room
Professor Riaz P Khan gave a talk titled “Geography and anthropology in the global modern: or, what became of British History?” Dr. Khan is a Professor of History at the Department of English and Humanities and also Dean of Student Affairs. Prior to joining BRAC University, he taught Philosophy, Sociology and Political Science in the USA and Germany. The programme took place in the ENH seminar room on Thursday, June 26.
