Arduino is an open source hardware that may be described as a tiny computer. Arduino Bangladesh is an initiative to connect and to enlighten people with latest Arduino technology. Arduino Bangladesh took the initiative to celebrate Arduino Day (March 28) in Bangladesh for the first time. The event was powered by BRAC University Computer Club (BUCC) and The Tech School. It took place in BRAC University premises, open to students from all the institutions of the country. The event took off with the inaugural speech by Annajiat Alim Rasel, Advisor, BUCC. He pointed out how important it is that a platform of such stature exists in our society so that young tech enthusiasts can seek help from experienced users within our community. Mr. Zafor Iqbal welcomed all the participants of the event and delivered a warm Introduction to Arduino Bangladesh. The event later moved on to Mr. Jonayet Hossain who covered a more complex topic on Arduino 101: From LED to Robotics in such a way which was easy to comprehend even by non-Arduino users. Mr. Samiul Hoque later explained how an External Editor for Arduino operates. A very experienced Arduino user of the community, S. Mahubub-Uz Zaman extensively covered Dot Matrix and Android –8, aimed for the more experienced users in our community. Md. Shamsul Kaonain, Co-Advisor, BUCC gave a high end to the speaker’s session with words of wisdom and encouraging the users to never stop chasing their dreams.
