BRAC University (BRACU) organised a three-day CORPORATE CAMP 2018 at its Residential Campus in Savar starting 8 September 2018 aiming to invite and empower students, graduates and young professionals into mastering the camp’s theme “Art Thy Career”.
The event taught students ways to foster and groom themselves in line with the careers and lifestyles they desire and aspire to achieve.
Professor ATM Nurul Amin, chairperson, Department of Economics and Social Sciences, as chief guest of the inaugural session, put emphasis on students utilising their opportunities and resources to grow their careers.
Professor Iftekhar Ghani Chowdhury, dean, BRAC Business School, as session chair, advised student to get prepared for the fast-changing world by keeping in touch with it.
Addressing the final day’s closing session as chief guest, poet Asad Chowdhury, adviser, Ethics Club Bangladesh, praised the BRACU for organising this camp.
He said the BRACU pioneered inclusion of empathy in students’ curriculum and other educational institutions should follow suit.
Professor Firdaus Azim, chairperson, Department of English and Humanities, chaired the session.
The camp included an Art of Marketing Session, Sales Pitch Competition, Public Speaking Session, CV Writing Workshop, CV Writing Competition, Interview Tactics & Tips Workshop, Corporate Grooming Session, Mock Interview Competition, “Leadership and Negotiation” Session, “The Art of Creating Future Corporates: Entrepreneurship” and CV Placements Session.
There were also sessions of entertainment such as Networking Night, Executive Ball Night, Corporate Dinner and Gala Dinner.
