Workshop Sponsored

The Department of Management & Business, BU co-sponsored a seminar with JOBS on "Social Capital" in the BRAC Centre Inn Auditorium on October 21, 2002. Dr. Thierry van Bastelaer presented the results of a large empirical program on social capital, known as the Social Capital Initiative, launched by the World Bank in 1996. A large number of invited guests, teachers and students of BU and other universities attended the seminar. Professor Jamilur Reza Choudhury, VC, BU and Mr. Frederick Temple, World Bank Country Director also attended the seminar.
