Dr. Md. Mamun Habib of BRAC University November 29th, 2018 delivered a keynote lecture on “Supply Chain Management (SCM) – Is it Value Addition towards Academia?” at International Seminar on Industrial Engineering and Management (ISIEM 2018), November 27th - 29th , 2018, held on Swiss-Bel Hotel, Makassar, Sulawesi Selatan, Indonesia.
The lecture illustrated the theory and evolution of supply chain management as a new branch of management through basic models, focusing on manufacturing and service industries. He also mentioned how SCM is moving toward to manufacturing based SCM to service based SCM. Then he explained how service based SCM works successfully with his very popular ITESCM model.
An associate professor of BRAC Business School (BBS) and editor-in-chief of the International Journal of Supply Chain Management, Dr. Habib also held a discussion on the integrated tertiary educational supply chain management model.
The conference organize by organized by Trisakti University, Atma Jaya Catholic University of Indonesia, Esa Unggul University, Pasundan University, Al Azhar Indonesia University, Tarumanagara University and Pancasila University, Malaysia. It provided an international forum for researchers and practitioners from academia and industry to share knowledge, results and cutting-edge developments.
Dr. Habib was invited by the Chairman of the conference, Ir. Wahyukaton, MT to be the keynote speaker of the conference.
