Brac University is going to continue the Student Assistance Fund for another semester for Spring 2021. Vice-Chancellor Professor Vincent Chang announced the decision to continue this special support to the students, considering the difficulties students are still facing during the pandemic. He emphasized the university’s commitment to keeping the students at the centre of all initiatives. “Being a student-centric university, we go the extra mile for the betterment of our students, particularly in difficult times,” said Professor Chang.
The components of the fund will be similar to the previous semesters. Every student will receive a 100% non-tuition fee waiver and a 10% tuition scholarship. On a need basis, a limited number of students may receive tuition scholarships of more than 10% and up to 100%.
Brac University has already committed a total of USD 5 million (Tk 43 crores) to the Student Assistance Fund for Summer and Fall semesters in 2020.
