The Office of Career Services & Alumni Relations (OCSAR), Brac University organized a virtual session, "Alumni Experience Sharing: Road to Entrepreneurship" on Tuesday, 06 July 2021.
The session was intended to provide a platform for the Brac University students to learn from the alumni, who are now successful entrepreneurs, about their entrepreneurial experiences, challenges, success stories etc. Four Brac University alumni from different academic departments participated in the session as discussants. They were:

Both Ms. Nabila Nowrin and Ms. Nahid Sharmin were the former students of the Department of Architecture and Mr. Salman Haque and Mr. Salman Khan Promon were both from the School of Data and Sciences, Brac University.
The event was moderated by Mr. Shamim Ehsanul Haque, Assistant Professor, BRAC Business School and Senior Research Fellow, Centre for Entrepreneurship Development (CED), Brac University. The key discussion points of the session were discovering and evaluating the entrepreneurial spirit, knowing the challenges, lessons learnt and mistakes to avoid, social welfare contributions and most importantly the impact of pandemic on the business and adaptability for keeping up with the new normal situation.
The session was inspiring and helpful for Brac University students who want to either pursue their own businesses in future or want to start their career with start-ups. It concluded with a vibrant and interactive Q & A session where students raised queries about the preparation and right approach and mistakes to avoid to become an entrepreneur. The session was attended by the current students, former students, faculty members and staff of Brac University.
