A recent announcement by the Association of Commonwealth Universities (ACU) revealed that Brac University has been selected as one of five universities of its network to receive the Higher Education and the SDGs Challenge Grants. The grant is dedicated for staff at ACU member universities to fund collaborative work that promotes the aims and priorities of Higher Education and the SDGs Network. Eventually, the recipients will organize a wide range of projects, workshops and events to help support the SDGs agenda in their institutions.
Dr Sang Lee, Dean, BRAC Business School (BBS) is pioneering the entire process for an initiative of the Research & Professional Development Center (RPDC) of BBS. This research will be targeted at financial literacy and gender-based disparities in access to finance among entrepreneurs in Bangladesh to make recommendations to policy makers through research talks. It is considered as a high impact research for Brac University both in societal and policy fronts to improve women's economic empowerment.
