On 2nd July, 2022 the closing ceremony of LEAD-E Leadership Training Program, a joint collaboration of DBL Group and BRAC Business School was held. The event took place at BRAC University Mohakhali campus at the auditorium. The ceremony commenced with the thankful speech of Dean of BRAC Business School towards DBL Group for initiating this partnership and focusing on a sustainable future for all. The collaboration signifies the common goals of sustainability that academia and industry share.
The ceremony continued with the speech from the General Manager, Corporate HR of DBL Group who emphasized the soft skills that the employees may have been lacking, which now can be worked on to improve after the conduction of the training program. He promises to collaborate further with BRAC University to develop more programs like this to focus on employee development in the future.
The ceremony proceeded with a well-delivered presentation by the Chief Sustainability Officer, Mr. Mohammad Zahid Ullah, on DBL Group’s initiatives for building a sustainable business as they go along. Various awards and special recognitions for sustainable business practices of DBL groups were mentioned.
The Registrar of BRAC University, Dr. Dave Dowland gave thanking speech to DBL Group for choosing BRAC University for training their employees on Leadership. BRAC University welcomes more collaborative projects like this one to build the acamedia-industry relationship. The ceremony ended with the speech of the Vice Chairman of DBL Group, M. A. Rahim, thanking BRAC University for its amazing training capacity and hospitality.
M. A. Rahim, Vice Chairman was presented with a token of appreciation by the Registrar of BRAC University. A plant was presented as a token of appreciation to symbolize sustainability and eco-friendliness. Mr. Mohammad Zahid Ullah was presented with a token of appreciation by the Dean of BRAC Business School. The ceremony ended with the Project Leader selecting and awarding 10 aspiring leaders among the 100 participants of DBL group, who have shown promising soft skills and proven to be future leaders.
