Key Responsibilities for Research Associate
- Carry out project activities, communication and project administration
- Develop research objectives, projects and proposals
- Identify sources of funding and perform business development tasks as and when Required
- Make liaison with relevant government bodies, national stakeholders and different authorities
- Provide institutional support for conducting research activities
- Visit project site for performing project field works
- Assist with various tasks linked to organizational and sustentative dimensions of the project program and project implementations
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Minimum Master’s degree in Climate Change/ Environmental Science/ Environmental Management with excellent academic credentials.
- 2-3 years of working experience in relevant fields and research work
- Experience in conducting research, report writing, proposal writing, project management and project administration
- Strong interpersonal skills and are adept at building relationships with different stakeholders and donors
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills both in Bangla and English
- Ability to interact with diverse communities and constituents of diverse backgrounds.
- Must be self-motivated, hardworking and flexible regarding work hour
- The ability to work in a team is essential
- Experience in using initiative and creativity to resolve problems, identifying suitable solutions and opportunities for improvements
- Methodical approach to work and high level of attention to detail
- Ability to work collaboratively across departments and service areas
- Flexible approach to work and positive response to changing requirements
Key Responsibilities for Research Assistant
- Provide assistance to project activities, communication and project administration
- Find potential RFP/ ToR/ EOI and perform business development tasks as and when required
- Data collection from primary and secondary sources. This will require field visits as and when required
- Write field reports, project reports and other research papers if required
- Assist in conducting research activities
- Assist with various tasks linked to organizational and sustentative dimensions of the project program and project implementations
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Climate Change/ Environmental Science/ Environmental Management with excellent academic credentials
- One year of working experience in relevant fields and research work. Freshers are also encouraged to apply
- Strong interpersonal skills and are adept at building relationships with different stakeholders and donors
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills both in Bangla and English
- Excellent organizational skills
- The ability to work in a team is essential
- Ability to work collaboratively across departments and service areas
- Flexible approach to work and positive response to changing requirements
