Dr. Farig Sadeque is an Assistant Professor of Computer Science and Engineering at BRAC University. Before joining BRAC University, Dr. Sadeque was an Associate Research Scientist at the Educational Testing Service (ETS), the largest private non-profit educational testing organization in the world. He also worked as a postdoctoral research fellow at Harvard University where he was jointly appointed by the Harvard Medical School and Boston Children’s Hospital, and was a part of the Computational Health Informatics Program (CHIP) Laboratory.
Dr. Sadeque completed his PhD in Information Science with a minor in Computer Science from The University of Arizona under the supervision of Dr. Steven Bethard. He completed his undergrad from Bangladesh University of Engineering in Technology, with a major in Computer Science and Engineering. His research interests include Computational Linguistics and Applied Natural Language Processing, Machine Learning, Computational Social Science, Psycholinguisitcs and Sociolinguistics.
