Faruque Azam joined the Department of Pharmacy of Brac University in February 2021. He completed MSc from the Institute of Cancer Sciences, University of Glasgow, UK in 2020.
His postgraduate research involved investigating trends of precision cancer therapies in clinical trials and analysing large clinical trial data to assess how cancer therapies had changed over time. He received funding from the "Cancer Research UK" for conducting his MSc research work and the findings were published in a top Q1 journal in the area of precision oncology.
Currently, his focus is on the development of two predictive efficacy models of breast cancer subtypes using machine learning tools which will help investigators and clinicians to design clinical trials for specific breast cancer molecular subtype. Prior to his postgraduation, Faruque Azam completed his Bachelor of Pharmacy (Hons.) from the department of Pharmacy, Brac University.
