Shamim Ehsanul Haque is working as an Assistant Professor at BRAC Business School. He is also a Senior Research Fellow at BRAC University’s Centre for Entrepreneurship Development (CED), the entrepreneurship development wing of the university. Mr. Haque has a post-graduate degree in Marketing from Monash University, Melbourne, Australia. He worked at the Bangladeshi operation of the multinational cement giant Cemex, SA, and Nespresso Australia Limited. His corporate roles saw him working in Sales and Marketing as well as in Product Promotion. Mr. Haque teaches Marketing courses at the undergraduate level and serves as a researcher at CED. Mr. Haque's research interests lies in Non-Western consumerism, Bottom of the Pyramid (BoP) consumers, Social Entrepreneurship and consumer behavior of the subaltern consumers in general. Mr. Haque has participated in quite a few international seminars relevant to his professional interests. He has a number of publications where he is credited as either an author or a co-author. Mr. Haque is a US Department of State Pro-Fellow (Entrepreneurship Fellowship), and an ITEC (Indian Technical and Economic Cooperation) Fellow (Social Entrepreneurship).
