Nooha Sabanta Maula is an anthropologist and Lecturer at the School of General Education, Brac University, Dhaka. She obtained her MSc in Social and Cultural Anthropology from KU Leuven, Belgium and her BSS in Anthropology from Brac University. Prior to joining Brac University as a Lecturer in 2023, Ms. Maula was a development practitioner with 3 years of experience at an international non-governmental organization. She is also a contributing writer for The Daily Star. Her research interests include youth cultures of Bengali-Muslims at home and abroad, migration and diasporic communities, and race and ethnicity in South Asia.
