Sanjida Sultana has recently joined the school of General Education, Brac University as a lecturer in Psychology after having completed her Masters in Public Health (MPH) specializing in health behavior & mental health from Chulalongkorn University,Thailand in 2022. She also obtained her BSc in Biomedical Science with a minor in psychology from Mahidol University in Thailand in 2021. Having worked as a TA in philosophy and politics for 3 years at university, Sanjida has obtained an understanding of the basis of psychology from a philosophical perspective. Her research interests lie within the field of mental health and integrating mental health into the health system infrastructure of Bangladesh and de-stigmatizing the concepts associated with mental health in the country. She is also currently working as an associate in the women mental health platform- Women support initiative forum (WSIF) which provides psychosocial support to women throughout the country and focuses on well-being as a comprehensive health system. Her research on “Association between Loneliness and Related Factors among University Students during COVID-19 Pandemic in Bangladesh” was published at the 13th International Graduate Students Conference on Population and Public Health Sciences (IGSCPP) as a conference proceeding last year in November 2022 which can be found at https://www.igscpp.org/index.php/proceeding#
