BRAC University (BRACU) is seeking a qualified individual to join as Joint Director of Human Resources, contributing actively to its academic excellence and innovation mission. This pivotal position entails managing all human resources operations independently as well as working under the guidance of the Director of Human Resources within the university's HR Department.
BRACU is accredited by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and approved by the Ministry of Education, Government of Bangladesh which has established itself as one of the leading private universities in Bangladesh. The university plays an integral role in developing skilled graduates for a knowledge-based economy. We are searching for a dynamic and seasoned HR professional to make a meaningful impact in higher education.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The Joint Director of Human Resources will collaborate closely with the Director of Human Resources to spearhead the strategic planning, development, and execution of HR policies, initiatives, and programs aligning with the university's mission, values, and objectives.
The individual will oversee recruitment and retention efforts, ensure a diverse talent pool, serve as a trusted partner for HR matters, and promote a positive work environment. S/he will manage performance management systems, administer salary and benefits, develop training programs, and enforce HR best practices, policies, and procedures. Additionally, the incumbent will promptly and fairly address employee relations issues and enhance HR technology solutions to improve organizational efficiency and success.
The position requires a solid understanding of university governance principles and practices, and knowledge of relevant laws, university statutes, and regulations.

QUALIFICATIONS
Candidates for this position should possess a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (Master's degree preferred), along with a minimum of 10 years of progressive HR experience, with a preference for at least 5 years in a leadership role within a higher education setting. S/he should demonstrate a proven track record in employment laws, administrative rules and regulations, and HR best practices worldwide. Essential skills include exceptional organizational abilities, proficiency in producing high-quality written and data reports for senior management, and adept problem-solving and analytical capabilities.
