Exhibition 2002, Department of Architecture

The Vice Chancellor Professor Jamilur Reza Choudhury inaugurated the first exhibition of the works of students of the Department of Architecture, BU on September 24 at the Department of Architecture. The exhibition consisted of the design projects of Freshman 1 and 2. As a part of the exhibition, Angan, the forum for co-curricular activities of the department arranged an evening lecture titled "Works of Young Architects". Two prominent architects of the country, Architect Rafiq Azam of Shattoto: Architecture for Green Living and Architect Jalal Ahmad of J A Architects presented their works to an audience of students of architecture from different schools and practicing architects. The exhibition was open from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM till October 1, 2002. The department of Architecture, one of the new schools in Bangladesh created immense interest among visitors about the philosophy, direction and pedagogical tools of the school, depicted through the exhibits.
