Bangladesh is a populated country. Road accidents are the underlying occurrence. Regularly road accidents occur for impolite and careless driving. Be that as it may, there are various diverse reasons associated with it also. There has been a hard ascent in road accidents, all together in roadways in the course of recent years. Seriousness and casualty of road accidents request additional consideration in our nation. C3ER of BRAC University, led a field visit under the Road Safety Project, supported by Bangladesh Bank at the expressway course of Dhaka-Chittagong on 23 to 26 April 2016. The appraisal was done at Sitakunda, Chittagong. The objectives of the field visit were to find the primary focuses for road accidents, assessment of financial effect, distinguish causes and potential arrangements of traffic accidents, perceive the potential measures or activities that may counteract road accidents and minimise the losses. Legislative, Non-Governmental associations and local community participated in Focus Group Discussion (FGD) and Key Informant Interview (KII). The fieldwork was lead by Dr. Md. Sajidur Rahman, Assistant Professor from C3ER Ms. Naznin Nasir Dola, Research Associate, Ms. Nureen Faiza Anisha, Research Assistant, Ms. Nabila Hoque, Internee took part in the field visit.
