PPDM Faculties attended BPP Academic Sector’s Meeting at Bangladesh Open University

Dr. Imon Chowdhooree, Assistant Director of Postgraduate Programmes in Disaster Management (PPDM), Department of Disaster Management, School of Architecture and Design, and Mr. Muhammad Ferdaus, Lecturer and Coordinator, PPDM were invited by the ADPC (Asian Disaster Preparedness Centre) to attend the Academic Sector’s meeting to finalize three years’ activities for the Bangladesh Preparedness Partnership (BPP). Bangladesh Preparedness Partnership (BPP) is a unique multi-stakeholder partnership led by the Ministry of Disaster Management and Relief (MoDMR) with technical support from the ADPC and supported by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. The meeting was held on February 18, 2024, at the campus of Banglaesh Open University, and it was hosted by Dr. Mahbuba Nasreen, Pro-VC, Bangladesh Open University. Ms. Shivani Gupta from the Thailand office of ADPC, along with her two colleagues from the Bangladesh office, attended the meeting. Three years’ activities were finalized in that meeting. The team also met the VC of Bangladesh Open University.
