On 25th June 2015, BRAC University Computer Club (BUCC) arranged an educative seminar on Peer to Peer Computing. Mr. Monzur Mahmud, a faculty member of Computer Science and Engineering Department at BRAC University, brought to light a wonderful new project with a very catchy name-Seattle. Students from different levels as well as faculty members Md. Shamsul Kaonain, Dipankar Chaki and Samiul Islam joined the session. The project has a few outstanding components namely, Virtual machine, Node Manager, Service Manager, Clearing House and Look up service. Being the wonderful speaker, Mr. Mahmud explained Python language and its stance in comparison to Java Programming language in a nutshell. After the presentation, he highlighted the Seattle project website http://bit.ly/BUCCp2p and demonstrated the easy login and browsing procedure through the site.
