S M Taiabul Haque, PhD
Associate Professor
Haque received his Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Texas at Arlington, USA. Prior to joining BRAC University, he was a tenured Associate Professor at the University of Central Missouri, USA. His research interests lie in the areas of Usable Privacy and Security, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), and Information and Communication Technology and Development (ICTD). He has contributed more than 20 peer-reviewed publications so far in these areas, including the top venues in HCI (CHI and CSCW), Usable Security (SOUPS), and ICT for Development (ICTD). He graduated with a bachelor's degree in Computer Science and Engineering from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET). Dr. Haque holds the GIAC Security Leadership Certificate (GSLC) and has seven years of experience with ABET accreditation. He was also the Point-of-Contact (POC) for National Security Agency (NSA) Center of Academic Excellence (CAE) at the University of Central Missouri. Dr. Haque holds a position in the Global Information Assurance Certification (GIAC) Advisory Board.
