Baby Naznin is working as a permanent lecturer at the BRAC University, Dhaka at the Biotechnology Program. She joined the University as a faculty just after finishing her second master’s degree in September 2023. She completed Infectious Diseases and One Health master’s degree with the prestigious Erasmus Mundus Joint Master’s Scholarship. The master’s degree was from three different universities named Université de Tours, France, Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, Spain, Medizinische Hochschule Hannover, Germany, and the internship at INRAE, Paris. During her internship she did work on the project “Impact of the environmental stress (water quality, pollutants) on fish health from intestinal health to modulation of fish responses to viral infections”. During the master’s program, she did a fully funded summer internship at IRCMS (International Research Centre for Medical Science), Kumamoto University, Japan. Before going for post-graduation, she served as a scientific officer for Covid-19 diagnosis during the pandemic at DNA Solutions Ltd., a renowned molecular diagnostic and research center in Dhaka. She completed her first master’s degree from the department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, University of Dhaka standing position 6th among all. She did the thesis project with National Science and Technology (NST) fellowship on “Genetic polymorphism of MDM2-SNP309, Myc8q24 and CYP2E1*5B as a biomarker for the risk of bladder cancer in the Bangladeshi population”. She did complete her Bachelor’s (Hons) degree from the same department from University of Dhaka having the position 6th.
