Jahin Kaiissar joined ENH as a faculty member in 2022. She completed her BA in English and MA in English from BRAC University. Her areas of interest include but are not limited to memory studies, trauma studies and comics studies. She wants to pursue her PhD in the field of memory studies. She teaches courses in the Literature stream and supervises theses of undergraduate students in the department.

• “Representation of Violence and Human Rights Violations in Leila Abdelrazaq’s Baddawi” was presented at a two-day international conference titled “Human Rights, Violence and Dictatorship” organised by InMind Support from 18-19 November 2021.
• “The Intersection of Trauma and Queerness in Pajtim Statovci’s Crossing” was presented in the “Inequalities” panel, one of the OSUN Senior Project Panels, on 26 May 2021.
