BRAC University has signed an MOU with BRAC International on Thursday, 22nd December 2022 to facilitate collaboration for the “Sir Fazle Hasan Abed Fellowship Programme for Women”.
Social Impact Lab of BRAC University and BRAC organized a workshop at the university campus recently to engage students into becoming more aware of road safety protocols and risk assessment.
A delegation from BRAC University comprising of students and officials went to the Banani graveyard in Dhaka in the afternoon of 20 December, 2022 to lay a wreath and offer prayers at the grave of Sir Fazle Hasan Abed KCMG, the university’s founder, marking his third death anniversary.
BRAC University hosted its first ever “Faculty Appreciation Dinner” at a five-star hotel in Dhaka recently. This was an initiative by Vice-Chancellor Professor Vincent Chang who wanted to celebrate and appreciate the efforts and accomplishments of the faculty members of the university’s schools, departments and institutes for their contributions to teaching and learning and reflect on the university’s mission.
A two-day solo exhibition of photos taken by Professor Vincent Chang, Vice-Chancellor of BRAC University, was held on the university’s Mohakhali campus on 4-5 December, 2022. Titled “Carpe Diem”, the event was jointly organized by the BRAC University Vice Chancellor's Office, Office of Co-Curricular Activities and BRAC University Art and Photography Society.
Two Safeguarding Training Sessions were held for Club Leaders and General Members of various Clubs of BRAC University by the Sexual Harassment, Exploitation, Bullying and Ragging Elimination Committee (SHEBREC) and Student Life at BRAC University, in collaboration with BRAC Sexual Harassment and Redressal Committee (SHRC) on Sunday, November 27, 2022.
BRAC University has signed a new agreement for a year with the Open Society University Network (OSUN) and Central European University (CEU) in Vienna, Austria, to expand the OSUN Science Shop at BRACU campus. OSUN Science Shop is currently a two-year pilot program supported by OSUN and hosted by CEU’s Community Engagement Office in cooperation with the European Humanities University (EHU) in Lithuania and BRAC University in Bangladesh. The project focuses on stimulating engaged and experiential learning through student projects embedded in course curricula.
