The Team, Tantalizers’ of School of Engineering and Computer Science (SECS), BRACU secured 1st Runner-up position in NASA Space Apps Challenge 2018, which was held in Independent University, Bangladesh, at Saturday, October 20, 2018. The team members were: Razin Bin Isa, Zareef Zafar, KM Fahim Mahmud and Gazi Musa Al Johan. NASA Space Apps is an international hackathon that works with mutual problem solving with a view to creating a relevant open-source solution to deal with global needs for both lives on Earth and in Space. This year’s campaign involved approximately 50 lakh students virtually and approximately 1 lakh students took part physically in the event. Among the participated teams, top 40 teams along with Tantalizers of BRACU were selected for the main contest. Team Tantalizers’ project is based on sensor box to detect the moisture and many other features of soil. The team’s next step is to submit a video to NASA for final round.
