Meem Arafat Manab graduated from University of Dhaka in computer science and engineering in 2018. After a brief period of working in qualitative research, Meem joined BRAC University’s Department of CSE under its School of Data and Sciences first as a contractual lecturer and then as a full-time faculty. With a background in mathematical education from prior voluntary service in Bangladesh Mathematical Olympiad and experience in competitive programming at undergraduate level, Meem has been teaching both mathematics and CS courses here at BRACU since Fall 2020. Meem strongly believes in incorporation of experiential learning and student-centered approaches in STEM education, working with various OSUN (Open Society University Network) projects to that end. When free from workload, Meem reads books (mostly history, philosophy and poetry), roams around cities and towns, writes fiction, and listens to podcasts. Meem also speaks six languages, but not all of them fluently.
