Mr. Safarath Ahmed joined BRAC Business School in January 2024 as a lecturer of Accounting. Besides accounting, he teaches general business courses occasionally. Prior to joining BBS, Mr. Ahmed taught Introduction to Finance, Banking and Introduction to Business at Independent University, Bangladesh as an adjunct lecturer since 2022.
Mr. Ahmed successfully completed his Masters of Accountancy with ‘Distinction Average’ (in 2018) and undergraduate degree with ‘Summa Cum Laude’ (in 2015). He has been awarded “Dean’s Merit List Award” for his academic excellence at Western Sydney University. His research interest includes capital market, international futures market, Accounting for environment and Islamic Finance.
Apart from teaching and research, Mr. Ahmed brings in corporate experience from various industries from banking, digital marketing and education consultancy, that allows him to bridge the gap between academic and corporate world.
