Zaheed joined BRAC Business School in 2023 as an Associate Professor of Operations & Supply Chain Management. He has a PhD in management from Deakin University. His doctoral thesis looked at the impact of supply chain complexity on operational performances of Australian manufacturing firms. Zaheed is academically trained both in engineering and in management sides of SCM and likes to use his background to discuss and teach the complex interactions of the two, from an inter-disciplinary perspective.
Zaheed has published in academic journals such as, Supply Chain Management: An International Journal, International Journal of Physical Distribution and Logistics Management, The Asian Journal of Shipping and Logistics, and has presented in AOM and ANZAM conferences. As a researcher, he takes avid interest in applying Organizational Theory to understand strategic supply chain problems and phenomenon. Zaheed is currently working on supply chain resilience, innovation & learning in SCM, and sustainability. He has co-supervised 2 completed PhDs till date.
Before joining BRAC, Zaheed has held positions at RMIT University, Shahjalal University and North South University.
