Professor Vincent Chang, Vice-Chancellor and President of BRAC University met with former United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon earlier this month in Seoul, South Korea.
During their meeting, Ban Ki-moon and Professor Chang discussed the role of higher education in promoting Sustainable Development Goals. They also discussed current world affairs along with the present condition and future prospects of higher education in Bangladesh.
After the meeting, the duo exchanged two books they have authored individually, Ban Ki-moon’s “Resolved, Uniting Nations in a Divided World” which is on his journey, challenges, accomplishments as the UN Secretary General, and Professor Chang’s “All About Students,” which is a collection of speeches and interviews by Professor Chang and mostly focused on the transformational experiences that a university should provide to its students.
