Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) and Research Group on Data Science and Big Data Analytics, BRACU organized a discussion on the MoU (Memorandum of Understanding) signed between Grameenphone and BRAC University about a year ago. The meeting was held in the Conference room (Bldg. 8, 6th floor) on 16th October 2018 (Tuesday) at 11 am. From Grameenphone, Azfar Adib (Manager, IoT & M2M Services), Shaharear Sayeed (Head of Employee Experiences), Aanisha Mahmood (Employer Brand Manager) attended the meeting. BRACU CSE faculties Professor Dr. Md. Mottalib, Dr. Khalilur Rhaman, Dr. Jia Uddin, Dr. Ashraful Alam, Dr. Golam Rabiul Alam, Samiul Islam, and Hossain Arif were present.
The discussion started with an introduction from Professor Dr. Md. Mottalib, Chairperson, CSE. BRACU faculty members gave their feedback on the collaboration efforts between BRACU CSE dept. students and Grameenphone engineers during the last year. Problem areas were identified and potential for further collaboration in the future were analyzed. It was decided that CSE students will work with Grameenphone on practical real-life applications in the emerging areas of IoT, Data science, Cloud Computing, Big Data, and Machine Learning. Chairperson, CSE expressed thanks to all the participants for their contribution. The successful meeting ended with a group photo.
