Brac University Moot Team wins the championship of Second International Humanitarian Law Moot Court Competition 2020
The School of Law moot court team won the championship of Second International Humanitarian Law Moot Court Competition 2020. The event was organized by Network for International Law Students (NILS) Bangladesh in collaboration with the Center for the Study of Genocide & Justice, Liberation War Museum held on 18-19 December. Out of 29 teams overall from universities in Bangladesh and abroad, Brac University reached the final round and played the final against North South University.
The team earned higher score at the final round from all three judges! The judges in this virtual event were also joined from home and abroad. The event was inaugurated by Mr. Justice Iman Ali, Honourable Justice of the Appellate Division and Madam Justice Naima Haider was the chief guest in the closing ceremony.
School of Law students Sanjida Haider Suha and Ismail Ahmmed Chisty were the mooters, Sadat Uddin Ahmed (awarded as the third best researcher) were team members. Assistant Professor Md. Mostafa Hosain was the coach and guide of the team.
