A team of five students from School of Law, Brac University had been awarded a fellowship by Bandhu Social Welfare Society (BSWS) to conduct a research on the rights of the gender diverse population in Bangladesh. The research was titled ‘Ensuring the Legal Status of the Gender Diverse Population in Bangladesh: Defining Gender Terminology.’
The team consisted of Humaira Anjum, Rifa Tamanna, Subrina Reza, Tanzum Abid Khan and Suraiya Kamol. The team was coordinated from the SoL by Dr. Saira Rahman Khan. The team presented its research and findings at a concluding ceremony on 26 November that was organized by BANDHU Social Welfare Society.
