Ms. Sharmin Nahar Nipa, Lecturer of Centre for Climate Change and Environmental Research (C3ER), BRAC University attended study findings sharing and validation workshop of the joint project titled 'Institutional Mapping and Action Plan on Child-Centered Adaptation and Disaster Risk Reduction' on 30 April 2017 jointly organized by BCAS and UNICEF.
Ibrat Sharif, Research Associate , C3ER, BRAC University participated in a day long training course on “Sustainable Supply Chain” held on 27 February at Bangladesh Institute of Management (BIM). The training course was organized by collaboration between BIM and the global programme ‘Private Sector Adaptation to Climate Change’ supported by GIZ.
C3ER team conducted a 5 day long field visit for the project entitled ‘“Capture and assess best CwC practices in disaster response and recovery” funded by DMCC, BRAC and “Achieving Resilience through Inclusive Community Based Organizations” funded by OXFAM from 22-26 February 2017 at Satkhira District as a study area.
C3ER, BRAC University arranged a certificate course on Introduction to Climate Change, which was designed to focus and develop the intellectual and practical skills for the application and advancement of the climate change science and subsequent adaptation and mitigation policies. The five-day long training started from 05 to 09 February 2017 at C3ER. Eight participants from different national and international organizations, i.e.

Dr. Ainun Nishat, Professor Emeritus, C3ER, BRAC University Participated in UNESCAP Asia-Pacific Business Forum (APBF): Regional Integration to Achievement Sustainable Development on 9 February 2017. Asia-Pacific Business Forum 2017 was jointly organized by the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) Bangladesh and the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (UNESCAP) in Dhaka, Bangladesh. The forum held under the patronage of the Ministry of Commerce of the Government of Bangladesh.
Nureen Faiza Anisha, Research Associate, C3ER, BRAC University participated in a validation workshop organized by International Organization for Migration(IOM) on 05 January 2017 at Hotel Amari Dhaka, Gulshan. The workshop was on the project tilted "Mainstreaming Migration into National Development Strategies". The workshop contents were prepared by Human Development Research Centre (HDRC).

Dr. Sajidur Rahman, Assistant Professor, C3ER, BRAC University participated in the“3rd Gobeshona International Annual Conference for Research on Climate Change in Bangladesh” on 10 January 2017. He presented a research paper titled ‘Optimum Solution for Safe Drinking Water in Tala Upazila’ in the conference. The 4-day long conference inaugurated from 8 January to 11 January 2017 at the Auditorium of Independent University, Bangladesh (IUB) in Bashundhara, Dhaka. Organized by the International Centre for Climate Change and Development (ICCCAD) at IUB and supported by USAID.
The Department of Environment and UNDP Bangladesh jointly organized an inception workshop entitled “National Capacity Development for Implementing RIO Conventions through Governance” to introduce the project to the stakeholders on 11 January 2017 at CIRDAP International Auditorium.
