From November 7-16, 2017, the global leaders met for the 23rd annual Conference of the Parties (COP 23) under the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) which aims to “prevent dangerous anthropogenic interference with the climate system”. It took place in Bonn, Germany from 6-17 November. The government of Fiji was the official host of the event.
A survey team from Centre for Climate Change and Environmental Research (C3ER) visited Dular Char, Charbagha union, Bhedarganj upazila in Shariatpur district with a view to conduct qualitative field survey for the project Floating Houses: Community Based Flood Resilience Innovations in Bangladesh. The ten days expedition (from 7-17 November 2017) comprised of nine members from C3ER.

Centre for Climate Change and Environmental Research (C3ER), BRAC University facilitated a Knowledge Sharing Workshop on ''Innovating Action for Climate Transparency: Engaging Future Generation'' in Barguna district on 3 November 2017. The workshop was jointly organized by District Administration, Barguna and C3ER supported by UNICEF. Deputy Commissioner of Barguna district inaugurated the day long programme.
C3ER, BRAC University conducted field investigation to assess the climate change loss and damage in Bangladesh under the project titled Floating Houses: Community Based Flood Resilience Innovations in Bangladesh funded by KPMG East Africa Limited. The field survey was carried out at Dular Char, Shariatpur from 22-26 July 2017.
